Luxury Flooring

Planning a luxury flooring? Flooring sets the tone for every room before the eye moves anywhere else. At Cappelli Interiors, we approach every flooring project with the belief that a great floor should feel inevitable — warm underfoot, beautifully proportioned to the space, and engineered to perform for decades. From hand-laid Italian parquet and Venetian terrazzo to artisan mosaics and natural stone flooring, every surface is selected, specified, and installed with the same discipline we bring to an entire home renovation.

Let's Work Together
Luxury Flooring

Italian Flooring, Sourced Directly From the Artisans

Authentic luxury flooring begins with authentic supply. We work directly with Italian parquet makers, Venetian terrazzo ateliers, mosaic workshops, and natural stone quarries we have visited personally and partnered with for decades. Every plank, slab, and tile arrives with clear provenance and consistent quality, because we have eliminated the intermediaries that normally sit between the artisan and the homeowner. The result is pricing that reflects a direct relationship rather than a distributor markup, and material integrity that shows in the grain, the finish, and the way the floor ages over time.

Floors Engineered to Last

A floor has to meet real demands: humidity, sunlight, moving furniture, and heavy foot traffic. We select materials and substructures that perform under these conditions while preserving the warmth and refinement expected of a luxury home. That means moisture-stable wood species, correctly acclimatized installation, natural stones sealed for demanding environments, and subfloor preparation that prevents the telltale signs of settlement and cupping. Every detail — from transitions between rooms to the direction of a plank — is planned to serve both the eye and the long-term performance of the surface.

Our Flooring Services

Why Flooring Materials Matter

A floor is the most exposed surface in any home, and the one that reveals shortcuts first. We select species, stones, and finishes for their density, stability, and ability to hold their character under daily use. Our direct Italian supply chain guarantees authentic material quality, full traceability, and fair pricing — and it allows us to match grain, veining, and tonality across large installations in a way catalog suppliers simply cannot. The floor you receive is the floor we specified, not a substituted approximation.

What Sets Our Luxury Flooring Apart

A luxury floor is only as good as the team that chooses, prepares, and installs it. Here is why our clients trust us with the surface that defines every room.

One Dedicated Team, Start to Finish

From material selection to final sanding, one team manages the entire flooring project — including substrate preparation, installation, and finishing. No handoffs between trades, no gaps in accountability.

Authentic Italian Craftsmanship

We source parquet, terrazzo, mosaics, and stone directly from Italian artisans we know by name. Every floor is specified and laid with the traditional techniques that give Italian flooring its unmistakable character.

Transparent Process, No Surprises

We provide clear timelines, honest pricing, and regular updates from the moment a material is ordered to the day the floor is walked on. You always know where the project stands.

Over 30 Years of Luxury Experience

Three decades of high-end flooring work worldwide inform how we plan every installation — from subfloor engineering to the final protective finish that keeps the floor looking new.

Flooring — Frequently Asked Questions

What types of flooring do you install?

We install Italian parquet and solid hardwood, Venetian terrazzo, hand-cut mosaics, natural stone (marble, travertine, limestone), Palladiana, inlaid wood, and moisture-resistant engineered solutions. Every product is sourced directly from Italian artisans and quarries we have worked with for decades.

How do you match flooring across multiple rooms or large areas?

We specify grain, veining, and tonality at order time and hand-select batches directly with the Italian maker. Because we control the full supply chain — from the quarry or atelier to the installation — we can match hundreds of square meters of stone or parquet with consistency that catalog suppliers cannot replicate.

Can you install radiant heated flooring?

Yes. Radiant heating is commonly paired with natural stone, marble, and engineered wood floors. We plan the heating layout during design, integrate thermostats room by room, and verify temperature limits to protect the flooring material above.

How long does Italian parquet last?

A properly installed and maintained Italian parquet floor easily lasts 50 years or more. Most parquet can also be sanded and refinished multiple times, giving it an effective lifespan measured in generations. Board thickness and finish quality determine how many refinish cycles the floor can support.

What is Palladiana flooring?

Palladiana is an Italian flooring technique in which irregular stone or marble fragments are assembled by hand into a continuous, endlessly varied surface, traditionally grouted with a contrasting binder. Named after the Venetian architect Andrea Palladio, it combines the durability of stone with the expressive pattern of mosaic.

Can I install wood flooring in a bathroom or kitchen?

Yes, with the right specification. We use moisture-stable Italian engineered wood, sealed finishes, and careful detailing at thresholds, cabinets, and water sources to prevent swelling. For bathrooms, we typically recommend natural stone or mosaic in wet zones and wood in adjacent dry areas.

Do you remove the existing floor before installation?

Yes. Demolition, subfloor preparation, moisture testing, and leveling are all included in the scope. We never install a luxury floor over a compromised substrate — the performance of the final surface depends entirely on what sits beneath it.
